Well, here goes our second weekly blog entry — only 2 weeks late! School holidays are now with us and our Roll Your Own Sessions are already a hit only 3 days into the holidays! We try to do these at a cheaper rate to make it affordable. Unfortunately it does take 1-on-1 time with our staff, and this means at times there are waits... we can't please everyone, but with the cost of living, making it affordable is our priority!
As a team, we really enjoy doing these as it's a chance for people to experience something new while also being able to treat themselves by eating the fruits of their labour afterwards! This is an experience you cannot currently get anywhere else in NZ, and we are proud for it to be something we are able to offer in store.
Summer is filling up FAST
Our summer schedule is starting to fill up FAST. Booking enquiries are coming through, and we encourage anyone wanting a unique experience for their upcoming birthday, wedding, work function — or simply wanting to treat their staff — to get in quick!
New packaging on the way
As our Loaded Cookie and Cookie Pie sales continue to skyrocket, we are looking at new packaging, and you will see this slowly start to change in the coming months! These are exciting times for us, as custom packaging is something we have always wanted to do! It also gives us the opportunity to customise a few parts of our packaging to enable safe delivery of our amazing baked-in-store products!
Aroha Cruise In — this Saturday!
Aroha Cruise In is this Saturday and we are looking forward to attending with our mobile trailer and seeing the amazing cars on show (including one of our own!). If you have time free on Saturday, come for a trip out to Te Aroha Racecourse... we guarantee you won't be disappointed!
A word on delivery pricing
Last but not least, a chance to explain why our pricing on Uber Eats/DoorDash is significantly (35%) higher than in store. This is due to the charges we receive from these delivery platforms, and as a small business we cannot afford to absorb these. We encourage anyone wanting Hamilton delivery to order via our website and the "Order For Hamilton Delivery" button on our homepage. These prices are only 10% higher, and unlike the big delivery platforms, each driver only has 1 delivery — meaning getting to you sooner, fresher, and ensuring the best Just Dessert Me experience!
Until next week, a quick note... Flour comes from a plant... Sugar comes from a plant... Chocolate comes from a plant... Based on this, cookies can be considered a salad!
